How ITI differs from B.Tech
Even though both ITI and B.Tech fall within technical education courses, their purposes and educational levels differ. Usually, UG courses last for 6 months to 2 years and anybody with 10th pass qualification is allowed to apply.

ITI holders can get admission directly in the second year of diploma (in some states).
B.Tech after Diploma: At the end of diploma course, students are given direct entry into the second year of B.Tech.
LEET (Haryana), JELET (West Bengal) and AP ECET (Andhra Pradesh) are some of the entrance exams for this course.
For admission in IITs, students have to pass the JEE Advanced exam, which is also open to diploma holders.
